J. Herbin Refillable Rollerball

Review 2 J. Herbin Refillable Rollerball

I like fountain pen but always think about nib dry out.
Basically, fountain is not the best writing instrument for taking memo.

Here, I'm going to show you J. Herbin Rollerball pen.

The pen is around 11.5 cm long.
It's really short but may be good for small daily planner.

The length is around 14 cm when you put the cup on the end of pen.
Otherwise it's too short for writing.

This pen uses international short cartridges.
Also, you can use converter for any of your favorite ink.

My rollerball is filled with Noodler's Bay State Blue.

Monteverde mini converter perfectly fits to this rollerball.

How about writing?
Pretty good.
Ink flow is really stable.
No skipping.
Line wide is probably similar to the medium point.

Line wide is
PRECISE V5 < J. Herbin = Preppy rollerball

Bellow is the writing samples with Noodler's Bay State Blue.

When you want to change ink, you can just wash whole thing with water.
Then you dry it out and refill with ink you want to refill.

Overall (8/10)
I like this pen especially in taking memo.
Smooth writing with any of fountain pen ink.
I love it!
However, the pen is short for me.

PILOT PRECISE V5

Review 1 PILOT PRECISE V5

EXTRA FINE (0.5mm)

- Unique liquid ink formula
- Advanced Ink Feed System for smooth writing
- Visible, long-lasting ink supply
-  Available in assorted ink colors with EF and F points

Appearance (5/10)
Appearance is not so luxury.

The pen is around 14 cm long.
Very very light, but it's too light for me.
You probably don't feel tired when you write with this pen for a long time.

Writing (10/10)
It has very unique and fine tip.

Ink flow is very good.
Writing is very smooth and stable.
You can write very fine line with no scratching and feathering without strong pressure.
But I'm just wondering the nib is going to be crushed if you use for a long time or to put strong pressure.

Price (5/10)
I got five color pack at around $10.
$2 each is not so cheap for this kind of disposal pen.
If it's $1 or $1.5, it would be great.

Overall (8/10)
If you don't mind luxury appearance, these are very good pens.
Especially, very smooth writing.
I would love this pen for daily use.

Once you finish ink, you might be able to refill with your favorite fountain pen ink.

Writing test

Good writing.
Ink flow was smooth but sometimes unstable, unfortunately.
But it can be used for daily use.
It's not an ideal one but I can use my favorite ink in a rollerball format.
